The Parasail Captain must be available from June 1 to September 1, 2024. The job is located in Gaspé, in the province of Quebec in Canada.
Job Responsibilities
• Operates and navigates boats according to Transport Canada regulations and Parasail Gaspé procedures
• Guide guests and staff on boating safety procedures
• Maintain knowledge of company vessels and may instruct customers on boat operation
• Clean, maintain, and perform minor maintenance on vessels
• Facilitate a clean and safe environment, reporting any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Greet customers and assist with inquires or concerns while anticipating the customers’ needs
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Ensure the training of the two assistant captains of the company.
Qualifications
• Must have all certifications to operate in Canadian waters (Transport Canada)
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a parasail captain.
• Must ensure the training of the two assistant captains of the company
• Proven experience and knowledge of boating operation and safety
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Work involves exposure to unusual elements and working outdoors in extreme temperatures
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Must be comfortable working in a French-speaking environment.
Salary based on experience. Between $30 and $40 per hour.
