A commercial parasail passenger bar (also known as a spreader bar or doubleizer) is a load-bearing spreader device engineered from aircraft-grade aluminum. It connects the parasail canopy to passenger harnesses, allowing commercial operators to fly two or three passengers side-by-side while maintaining proper canopy aerodynamics and balance.
The balance adjustment slot is a machined weight-offset feature integrated into Custom Chutes passenger bars. It allows the deck crew to easily offset connection points in fixed increments (e.g., 20 lbs or 25 lbs increments), balancing uneven passenger weights (up to 230 lbs difference on doubles) without changing the entire bar.
All-metal, fully articulating connections eliminate high-friction wear points inherent to webbing-to-canopy joints. Metal connections distribute dynamic loads evenly, prevent binding during launch and recovery, and significantly extend the operating lifespan of both the passenger bar and parasail risers.
